SECOR <br />International Incorporated <br />April 27, 2000 <br />Project 077 41991 500 <br />Mr Harlin Knoll Mr Marty Hartzell <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health RWQCB-Central Valley Region <br />Division 3443 Routier Road, Suite A <br />304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor Sacramento, CA 95827-3098 <br />Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />RE Addendum to April 7, 2000 Work Plan <br />for Remedial Well Installation and Additional Site Assessment <br />(Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-704) <br />Former Chevron #9-5775 <br />301 West Kettleman Lane <br />Lodi, California <br />Dear Mr Knoll and Mr Hartzell <br />This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br />Chevron Products Company, presents an addendum to Gettler-Ryan's Work Plan for <br />Monitoring Well Installation, dated April 7, 2000, at the subject site (Figure 1) This <br />addendum to the Work Plan outlines additional proposed assessment work necessary to <br />further define the extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume previously reported at the <br />subject site Additionally, remedial (Oxygen Diffusion) wells are proposed along the <br />southern and southwestern edges of the site r , <br />Gettler-Ryan's Work Plan proposed the drilling and installation of six groundwater <br />monitoring wells (Figure 2) Groundwater contour maps for December 3, 1999 and <br />March 1, 2000 indicate that groundwater flows to the east-southeast and southeast, <br />respectively Currently there are no groundwater monitoring wells directly <br />downgradient (east-southeast) of the source area <br />To further define the dissolved hydrocarbon plume in the southeastern direction and to <br />provide contingency remedial wells along the southern and southwestern portion of the <br />site, SECOR proposes the following <br />• Obtain well permits and prior to implementing well installation activities, <br />• Install two 2 -inch diameter groundwater monitoring wells (one shallow and one <br />deep) southeast of the site (across Kettleman Lane) at the locations shown on <br />Figure 2 The additional monitoring wells will be installed according to the <br />methods and procedures previously described in Gettler-Ryan's Work Plan dated <br />f April 7, 2000, and <br />9912131js1atess1'arkDnve, Sxue 100 5aciamento C495827 (916) 364-1880 (9]6)364 -18891 -ax tueowsecordon <br />
