Monday, October 25, 2004
Tank Team Incorporated.
2745 Sherwin Ave., Unit B
Ventura, CA 93003-7241
Attention: Bernie Olson, Project Manager
Subject: Structural Integrity Inspection and Report
One (1) 20,000 Gallon Aboveground Storage Tank (AST)
California Army National Guard, Stockton, CA
Dear Mr. Olson,
On October 25`h, 2004, Corrosion Specialists, Inc. performed a baseline structural integrity
inspection. This survey was conducted on the external steel surfaces of the aboveground
storage tank. The tank is a 20,000 Jet Fuel JP8, and is located at the California Army National
Guard in Stockton, CA.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
1. All Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) measurements were obtained using a Panametrics 37DL
PLUS. All readings recorded are found to be greater than 75% of the original wall
thickness. Our instrument was calibrated prior to each use and the thicknesses obtained
were accurate.
2. All UT readings were acquired through the tank exterior coating system, demonstrating
good adherence of the tanks exterior systems to the substrate or tank exterior wall.
Should there have been voids, discontinuities or disbonding of the tanks coating
systems, obtaining these readings would not have been possible.
3. Since the information in this report provides baseline data, all readings obtained and
recorded should be compared when obtaining future readings and to determine losses,
if any.
P,0.
