Look for 'shavings" that would indicate <br />ill, impending failure. Ensure safeguard is in place to prevent entanglement in rotating shaft. <br />Off/On Switches - Ensure each switch is in the correct position, locked if required and clearly marked as to what <br />it operates. <br />Valve Position - Ensure valves are in the correct position, locked and/or sealed as required and clearly marked <br />with a tag with its P&ID # Of its Purpose <br />Containment Area - Ensure area is clear of leaves and debris; inspect for signs of damage <br />Line Shock/Pipe Vibration -Watch and listen for vibration, which could be a sign of incorrectly sized piping, <br />pumps, pressure relief valves, etc. <br />-Pressure Relief Valves - Ensure valves are marked cleady with P&ID # and/or what it operates. Look for drips, <br />leaks and sign of damage. <br />Tags I Decals - Ensure all pumps are marked with their P&ID #, a tag describing their function or some means of <br />identification. <br />Pressure Gauges - Record pressure gauges when gauges are present.
