(Stratus) has prepared this Site Investigation Work Plan (Work <br /> Plan), on behalf of Faiza Tariq, for the former Quick-n-Save Market and Gas (the site), <br /> located at 641 East Charter Way, Stockton, California (Figure 1). This Work Plan has <br /> been prepared in response to a request by San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) to further investigate the extent of subsurface petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact previously identified beneath the site. Based on discussions with <br /> SJCEHD, this Work Plan proposes the advancement of three soil borings, with <br /> subsequent conversion to groundwater monitoring wells. Details associated with <br /> completing the proposed subsurface assessment activities are described in the following <br /> subsections of this document. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is situated at the northwest corner of the intersection of East Charter Way and <br /> Stanislaus Street in south Stockton, California. Based on the limited information <br /> available, the site formerly dispensed motor vehicle fuel from one 2,000-gallon <br /> underground storage tank (UST), two 4,000-gallon USTs, and one 6,000-gallon UST. <br /> The approximate locations of the former UST complex and fuel dispensers are shown on <br /> Figure 2 and Figure 3. The property is currently a tire store. <br /> An underground fuel release has also been documented at the K&S Gas & Grocery <br /> (K&S), situated immediately east of the site at 701 East Charter Way.
