Condor performed the inspection in general conformance with Steel Tank Institute(STI) Standard SP001 5t1i Edition- September 2011 Formal External Inspection(FEI). The subject AST-5 is an elevated, single-compartment, single-wall steel tank located within a secondary containment structure. Visual Observations • The subject tank,AST-5 has an Underwriters Laboratory(UL)AST identification label. • The tank was fabricated December 1989 and was manufactured by N.J. McCutchen,Inc. • The exterior wall of the tank and ancillary piping was inspected and appeared to be in good condition. • Visual observations of the tank's exterior shell showed no signs of pitting along the longitudinal section between the four and eight o'clock positions at the bottom of the tank. • The tank's long-bolt manway is an approved Emergency Relief Vent(ERV);however,the stamped plate did not identify the overpressure venting capacity.
