OBSERVATIONS/COMMENTS: Verified that the 10,000 gallon diesel tank has been permanently closed and that the 300 gallon motor oil tank and 300 gallon used oil tank have been removed. The only remaining AST on site is the 700 gallon motor oil tank which is kept inside the maintenance shop. Total facility liquid petroleum material storage capacity is currently at 700 gallons. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Per California Health and Safety Code 25270.4.5(b) The owner or operator of a tank facility exempt pursuant to this subdivision shall take the following actions: (1) Conduct a daily visual inspection of any storage tank storing petroleum. (2) Allow the UPA to conduct a periodic inspection of the tank facility. (3) If the UPA determines installation of secondary containment is necessary for the protection of the waters of the state, install a secondary means of containment for each tank or group of tanks where the secondary containment will, at a minimum, contain the entire contents of the largest tank protected by the secondary containment plus precipitation. Continue to ensure that your AST's have adequate secondary containment and continue daily visual inspections of any storage tank that contains liquid petroleum material.
