I have attached the records for your
inspection. This should close violations 621 and 622. 1 have also included documentation on the new oil tanks and the
high liquid sensing devices. This includes procedures to test and maintain the high liquid sensing devices. The oil tank
drawings show that they were built to UL142 standards. All documentation has been added to our SPCC plan. Hopefully
this will satisfy violations 711,714 and 715.
The weather seems to be changing to the better so we can start on the new slab with secondary containment for the
separator skim tank. We have talked to a contractor and the work should start soon We have to remove the tanks and
all piping, pour the new slab and reinstall everything. As soon as it is finished I will provide you with documentation and
pictures. We also have the same contractor extending the secondary containment on tanks 7 and 8 (diesel tanks). This
should be done within the next few weeks. I will send you documentation and pictures upon completion. Please contact
me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Steve
Steven Gannon
Cherokee Freight Lines
5463 Cherokee Rd
Stockton, CA 95215
209-444-7325
steve@gocfl.com
From: Aaron Hang [EH] [mailto:ahang@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2017 11:07 AM
To: Steve Gannon
Subject: Return to Compliance for APSA Inspection, 5463 E Cherokee Rd.
Hello Steve,
I have reviewed the SPCC plan you have sent me, and I have closed a few violations, but there are few violations still
present.
Violations:
613 —the oil water separator skim tank does not have a permanent secondary containment structure. You have
mentioned a temporary one has been placed.
621— Schedule/ document, and send me records of the discharge prevention briefings. They must be conducted
annually.
