Enclosure
California State Water Resources Control Board
ABOVEGROUND PETROLEUM STORAGE TANK PROGRAM
March 20, 2000
Please take a moment to review the following. If any one of the first three
reasons apply to your facility, you are not subject to the reporting
requirements, and we will adjust our records to reflect the correct status. If
you have indicated that your facility is not subject to the Aboveground
Petroleum Storage Act (Act), you will not receive future notices. If at any
time you begin operation of an aboveground petroleum storage tank subject
to the Act, you will then be responsible for registering your facility with us.
Thank you.
Our aboveground petroleum storage tanks are no longer in
service. This means that all of the petroleum product has been
removed from the tanks and the tanks were cleangd-out and/or
removed. Therefore, our tank facility is not subject to the Act..
Our facility's single tank storage capacity is less than 660
gallons or the cumulative storage capacity of all the tanks or
containers are less than 1,320 gallons, and therefore, our tank
facility is not subject to the Act.
Our aboveground storage tanks do not contain petroleum as
defined in the Act. Petroleum means crude oil or any fraction.
which is liquid at normal atmospheric pressure at sea level (e.g..
gasoline, diesel, waste oil, and some petroleum solvents).
Therefore, our tank facility is not subject to the Act.
We welcome any additional comments you may have:
