RECEIVED <br />JPA i72017 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT <br />INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR <br />RED THREAD IIA AND DUALOY 3000/L <br />SECONDARY CONTAINMENT PIPING <br />The secondary containment piping system for Red Thread IIA <br />and Dualoy 3000/L product piping consists of the next larger <br />size pipe and special two-piece fittings. Note: That all contain- <br />ment piping MUST be fitted in place on the primary system <br />prior to the primary system being bonded All scarfing of the <br />pipe ends must be done prior to placing the containment pipe <br />over the primary. <br />Many of the procedures used for installing primary product <br />pipe and fittings are also used for installing secondary contain- <br />ment pipe and fittings. Refer to tapering/scarfing tool operating <br />instructions. <br />Following are useful sections previously outlined: <br />Storage and Handling, Layout and Preparation, Tool and <br />Equipment List <br />For installation of bolts with the two-piece containment fittings, <br />any of the following tools are recommended: <br />• Variable speed impact wrench with 3/8" (9 mm) socket <br />• Variable speed drill motor with 3/8" (9 mm) socket <br />• One 3/8" (9 mm) wrench or nut driver <br />Secondary Containment Pipe <br />NOV Fiber Glass Systems' secondary containment piping <br />sizes are as follows: <br />Containment Pipe Size Primary Pipe Size <br />in Imm in I mm <br />momt <br />41 <br />
