DJWWTP-SEWD Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan
drums. Sthe SPCC plan calls for the drums to be stored in the diked area or on secondary containment pallets
capable of holding 100% of the contents. Portable oil storage containers must be positioned or located to prevent a
discharge and shall be furnished with a secondary means of containment sufficient to contain the capacity of the
largest single container with sufficient freeboard to contain precipitation. Immediately provide sufficient secondary
containment for this and all other portable containers at this facility, or provide equivalence as allowed by CFR
112.7(a)(2).
This is a Class II violation.
The six drums have been labeled and four of the six 55 -gallon drums contained petroleum products. The other two
contained coolant. The drums were restored into the dike area as shown below. A Dayton Drum Grab was
purchased for better transportation of 55 -gallon drums in and out of the diked area. Two Eagle Spill Containments
Pallets were also purchased for temporary spill prevention when the drums need to be moved out of diked area
when maintaining and servicing equipment.
