The geology of the remedial excavation logged on October <br /> 24-26, 1995 is summarized in the brief discussion below. Professional geologist Tim <br /> McDonald workingunder the supervision f R lK 1 `n <br /> p o ay ab a ow, registered geologist <br /> R.G. 5234, supervised the confirmation sampling and performed the logging of the <br /> remedial excavation on these dates. j <br /> Description of Remedial Action Activity j <br /> Large diameter auger equipment owned and o erated b VikingDrillers, Inc. of <br /> West Sacramento, was used to advance 5 boringstoiIremo a contaminated soil from <br /> beneath a former UST removal excavation. <br /> Sample Collection and Handling <br /> All sampling equipment was thoroughly decontaminated before and between use <br /> using a tri-sodium phosphate wash and tap water rinse. Disposable gloves were <br /> worn by all sampling personnel. Where possible samples:were screened using field <br /> techniques and a photoionization detector (OVM).
