The information is being
P p Y P
w provided to complete the request for no further action of the Califoinia Highway Patrol(CHP)facility located
at 3330 North Ad Art Road in Stockton, California (Site).
CLOSURE SUMMARY
hr
A soil investigation was conducted at the Site by Alton Geosciences in March 1999 to comply with
underground storage tank(UST)upgrading requirements. The investigation included drilling and sampling four
soil borings.(shown on Figure 1). The borings were extended to approximately 25 feet below ground surface
E (bgs). One soil sample was collected at 25 feet bgs from each boring and'submitted for laboratory analyses
of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH-G);.benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and xylenes(BTEX);
and methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE). The analytical results, shown on Table 1,reported concentrations of
MTBE in two soil samples(B2 and B4)at concentrations of 0.008 and 0.007 milligrams perkilogram. TPH-G
j and BTEX were not detected in any of the four samples. Based on these analytical results, the San Joaquin
t
County Environmental Health Division(SJCEHD)requested that a soil and groundwater investigation be
conducted at the Site. The workplan was submitted to SJCEHD on March'13, 2000 and approved by
SJCEHD on March 31,2000. Fieldwork was delayed so the UST could be removed from the Site. The UST
was removed by SEMCO on May 25,2000. Analytical results for soil samples collected following the UST
removal were non-detect.
URS Corporation
2520 Venture Oaks Way,Suite 250
Sacramento, CA 95833-3200
I Tel: 916.929.2346
1 Fax: 936.929.7263
1:114214103_Stockton1L120800.wpd
i
