I h <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PRbCEDURES <br /> f <br /> CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES <br /> STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE <br />{ CONCERNING HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> i <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. has adopted the following health and safety <br /> procedures for working with organic vapors and liquid contaminants encountered <br /> during ng investigative drilling and sampling operations. The purpose of this <br /> program is to provide health and safety precautions for the initial and <br /> subsequent site visits until the nature and magnitude of the contaminants have <br /> been defined. <br /> A. Access to the project site shall be limitedlto the site perimeter. In no <br /> cases shall the site perimeter be less than 20 feet from the borehole location <br /> for all non--authorized personnel. <br /> B. The site manager shall coordinate all activities of equipment and <br /> personnel at the project site. Site manager responsibilities will include but ` <br /> are not limited to the following: IE <br /> 1. Limiting access within the Bite perimeter to authorized personnel. <br /> 2. Providing written log of on site acti11ties and events. <br /> 3. Containment of all contaminated soils and water prior to disposal at � <br /> appropriate waste disposal site. <br /> 4. Monitoring ambient air vapor concentrations on the site perimeter. <br /> 5. Notification of .regulatory agencies duping emergency procedures as <br /> defined in step C below. <br /> I' <br /> 6. Enforcement of site safety precautionafi E <br /> I � <br /> h <br /> C. During drilling in soils containing organic a and liquid <br /> g rapors � <br /> contaminants, all personnel shall undertake the (following precautions: j <br /> 1. Skin/Clothes Protection I <br /> � f <br /> a. Disposable suits, boots, gloves, or rubber bootsjandg loves <br /> (previously rinsed in detergent TSP) will be worn at <br /> all times. <br /> I <br /> b. Disposable plastic gloves for sampling (changed after each <br /> sample) . <br /> C. Hard hate will be worn during all drilling activities. <br /> d. Disposable clothing will be properly disposed of at the <br /> completion of the job. <br /> 2. Respiratory/Eye Protection i <br /> a. During drilling activities, ambient air and soil vapor shall be <br /> continuously monitored by a Draeger tube simpler and an explosive meter. <br /> I� <br /> L- <br />
