' 05 October 2007
AGE-NC Project No.07-1537
' Page 6 of 8
' format (EDF) files were QA/QC checked and uploaded to the state GeoTracker database;
confirmation numbers are 9669870495 and 4482693374.
' 3.3. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLES
1 Four grab ground water samples were collected from separate borings adjacent to boring CPT-1 at
depths of 62 feet(CPT 1-62),70 feet(CPT 1-70),90 feet(CPT 1-90),and 99.5 feet bsg(CPT 1-100):
' • TPH-g was detected in all four of the grab ground water samples collected,at concentrations
of 140 micrograms per liter (µg/1) (CPT1-62), 600 µg/l (CPT1-70), 1200 µg/1 (CPT1-90),
and 300 µg/1 (CPT 1-100).
' • BTEX compounds were detected in all four of the grab ground water samples collected.
Benzene was detected at concentrations of 1.8 µg/l (CPT1-62), 25 µg/1 (CPT-90) and
' 4.1 pg/1(CPT-100). Toluene was detected at concentrations of 7.9 µg/l (CPT1-62), 32 µg/l
(CPT 1-70), 140 µg/1 (CPT 1-90), and 7.5 µg/1(CPT 1-100). Ethylbenzene was detected at
concentrations of 1.8 pg/l (CPT1-62), 13 pg/1 (CPT1-70), 34 µg/1 (CPT1-90), and 5 µg/1
t (CPT 1-100).Xylenes were detected at concentrations of 8.3 µg/l(CPT 1-62),74µg/1(CPT 1-
70), 193 pg/1 (CPT1-90), and 30.5 pg/1 (CPT1-100).
' • MTBE was detected in all four of the grab ground water samples collected,at concentrations
of 20 µg/1 (CPT1-62), 1.4 µg/l (CPT1-70), 150 µg/1 (CPT1-90), and 16 pg/1 (CPT1-100).
' No additional petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected at or above laboratory reporting
limits. Analytical results for the CPT grab ground water samples are summarized in Table 2. The
laboratory report (CTEL Project No. CT214-0705205), quality assurance and quality control
' (QA/QC) reports, and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix F. Laboratory electronic
deliverable format(EDF)files were QA/QC checked and uploaded to the state GeoTracker database;
' the confirmation number is 9669870495.
Monitoring wells MW-4 through MW-6 were developed and sampled during the Third Quarter
monitoring event on 06 July 2007.A report of the findings from the Third Quarter monitoring event
2007 well be completed by AGE, following the completion of this report.
' 4.0.
