O. Box 182
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: ZE Auto Repair
2255 S. Airport Way
Stockton, CA
At your request, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) provides you
with the following status of your site. The EHD is overseeing the corrective action required at
the above subject site due to an unauthorized release of petroleum from the former
underground storage tanks (USTs) that were operated at the site. In addition to you as the
property owner, Ultramar Incorporated (Ultramar), who owned and operated the USTs, has
been named as a responsible party for performance of the required corrective action. Ultramar
has retained Horizon Environmental Inc. as their consultant to investigate the lateral and vertical
extent of the petroleum contamination in the soil and groundwater and remediate the
contamination as necessary.
The investigation of the extent of the contamination is on-going and remediation by vapor
extraction and air sparging has been initiated. Concentrations of contamination in the vapor and
groundwater will be monitored and reported on a quarterly basis. The corrective action process,
which can take years, will continue until the EHD and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board agree that no further action is required.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Margaret agorio, REH
Program Coordinator
