MS <br /> t HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> lJ Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> July 12, 2005 <br /> Mr Joe Aldridge <br /> Ultramar Inc <br /> 685 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 <br /> Subject Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Second Quarter 2005 <br /> Abdelwahed Facility <br /> Ultramar No 13792 <br /> 2255 South Airport Way, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Aldridge <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this report which documents results of <br /> second quarter 2005 groundwater monitoring at the subject site located in San Joaquin <br /> County as shown on Figure 1 There are eight groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through <br /> MW-8), two vapor extraction wells (VW-1 and VW-2) and one sparge well (SW-1) <br /> associated with the site as shown on Figure 2 These wells are located on site except for <br /> monitoring wells MW-5 and MW-6, located off site to the east and monitoring well MW-7, <br /> located off site to the south Wells MW-5 through MW-8, VW-1, VW-2 and SW-1 were <br /> installed during first quarter 2005 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Groundwater monitoring activities were conducted by Horizon on May 24 and 25, 2005 <br /> according to Horizon Field Methods and Procedures (Attachment A) Monitoring activities <br /> included measurement of static groundwater level, purging groundwater from the wells, <br /> collection of groundwater samples, and preparation and delivery of the samples to the <br /> analytical laboratory <br /> The depth to groundwater was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top-of-casing <br /> (TOC) in wells MW-1 through MW-8, VW-1, VW-2 and SW-1 The physical parameters <br /> conductivity, pH and temperature of the groundwater were monitored with field <br /> instrumentation during the purging process The visual characteristics of the groundwater <br /> were also noted during the purging process Field groundwater level and purge data were <br /> recorded on Horizon Monitoring Well Data Sheets (Attachment 13) <br /> i <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the wells MW-I through MW-8 The <br /> groundwater samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to Kiff <br /> • Analytical (Kiff), a Callfornia-certified analytical laboratory (ELAP No 2236) located in <br /> Davis, California and were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd) by <br /> 4970 Windplay Drive #C5 - El Dorado Hills CA 95762 - (916)939-2170 - FAX(916)939-2172 <br /> PO Box 5283 - Bakersfield CA 93388 - (661) 589-8389 - FAX(661)589-1456 <br />
