HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment, Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> May 17, 2004 <br /> Mr Joe Aldridge <br /> MAY 1 8 2004 <br /> Ultramar Inc ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> 685 West Third Street PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Hanford, California 93230 <br /> Subject Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> First Quarter 2004 <br /> ZE Auto Repair <br /> Ultramar No 13792 <br /> 2255 South Airport Way, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Aldridge <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this report which documents results of <br /> first quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring at the subject site located in San Joaquin County <br /> as shown on Figure 1 There are four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) <br /> associated with the site (Figure 2) <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Groundwater monitoring activities were conducted by Horizon Environmental on March 15, <br /> 2004 according to Horizon Field Methods and Procedures (Attachment A) Monitoring <br /> activities included measurement of static groundwater level, purging groundwater from the <br /> wells, collection of groundwater samples, and preparation and delivery of the samples to the <br /> analytical laboratory <br /> The depth to groundwater was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top-of-casing <br /> (TOC) in monitoring wells MWA through MW-4 The physical parameters conductivity, pH <br /> and temperature of the groundwater were monitored with field instrumentation during the <br /> purging process The visual characteristics of the groundwater were also noted during the <br /> purging process Field groundwater level and purge data were recorded on the Horizon <br /> Groundwater Level Data and Sampling Information Sheets (Attachment B) <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 The <br /> groundwater samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to Kiff <br /> Analytical (Kiff), a California-certified analytical laboratory (ELAP No 2236) located in <br /> Davis, California and were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd), total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), the volatile aromatic compounds benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX), 1,2-dichloroethane (DCA) and 1,2- <br /> dibromoethane (EDB) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260B <br /> i� <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 • EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 • (916) 939-2170 • FAX (916) 939-2172 <br /> PO Box 5283 9 Bakersfield CA 93388 • (661) 589-8389 .
