The objective of this document is
to discuss the identified horizontal and vertical boundaries of the soil impacted by total petroleum
hydrocarbons (TPH) within and adjacent to the surface drainage ditch located along the southwest boundary
of the Earthgrains facility parcel, (Figure 2, Appendix A).
2.0 PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT
To determine the nature and extent of the surface contamination at the site, a preliminary assessment was
performed as described in the following sections.
2.1 SCOPE OF WORK
Groundwater Technology performed the following tasks during the preliminary assessment:
Collected 30 soil samples from within the ditch and adjacent field areas using a portable
hydraulic soil sampler.
0106HIS.RFr
Analyzed each selected sample for TPH using an on-site, California certified mobile
laboratory.
Collected three additional soil samples from the field area. Each of these samples was
analyzed for the constituents selected.
Prepared this report of assessment activities and results.
lU'IGROUNDWATER
' TECH NOLOGY
