4 i <br />Q <br />WORK PLAN FOR PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF <br />HYDROCARBON -IMPACTED SOILS <br />EARTHGRAINS BAKERY <br />2651 SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD <br />STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />May 29, 1991 <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />This work plan is presented by Groundwater Technology, Inc. to summarize proposed steps for preliminary <br />assessment of hydrocarbons in soil at the Earthgrains Bakery located at 2651 South Airport Boulevard, In <br />Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2, Appendix A.) Work will be conducted under the general <br />supervision of the California Department of Fish and Game (Fish and Game). <br />2.0 WORK PLAN OBJECTIVE <br />The objective of this work plan is to determine the vertical and lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in <br />soils of the ditch and field. Upon completion of this preliminary assessment phase, an additional work plan <br />will be prepared to address options for remediation of any Impacted soils encountered above 100 parts per <br />million (ppm) total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH). <br />3.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br />The following summarizes the tasks necessary for completion of the preliminary assessment phase of this <br />project. <br />► Collect soil samples along the ditch and In the field using a portable <br />hydraulic soil probe. <br />► Analyze selected samples for TPH on-site using a portable <br />State certified mobile laboratory. <br />GROUNIANIATE <br />TixiiHoi.aGY, INC. <br />
