11
Monitoring Well MW -1 (existing) for soil venting;
Sparge well SP -1 (proposed) for air in3ection;
Piezometer PZ -1 and PZ -2 (proposed) and Monitoring
' Well MW -1 for sparge test monitoring;
• Piezometers PZ -1 and PZ -2, and Monitoring Wells MW -
2, MW -4, MW -5, MW -7, and MW -10 for vent test
monitoring.
' The sparge well will be installed to a depth of approximately
75 feet BGS and constructed with 2 feet of two -inch -diameter, 0.01 -
inch slot, schedule 40 PVC well screen and riser pipe.
Proposed piezometers PZ -1 and PZ -2 will be installed to a
depth of approximately 75 feet BGS and constructed with 40 feet of
two -inch -diameter, schedule 40 PVC well screen and riser pipe. A
' number 2/12 sand will be used as a filter pack along the screen,
bentonite seal above the filter pack, and a cement/bentonite-mix
grout to the surface for each well.
During the pilot test, these wells will be used to measure the
radius of influence of both the venting well MW -1 and the sparge
well SP -1.
4.3 Groundwater Sampling and Analysis
Prior to the start of the pilot study, groundwater samples
will be collected from Monitoring Well MW -1 and piezometers PZ -1
and PZ -2. These samples will be analyzed for BTEX using USEPA
Method 8020, TVH -G using USEPA Modified Method 8015, and total
heterotrophic bacteria. Following completion of the pilot study,
groundwater samples will again be collected and analyzed for BTEX
and TVH -G from these three wells for comparison to the pre-test
concentrations.
07/94/1213821125997/REM REP/1 July 1, 1994 9 26am
