I -
naturallY goccurrin microbes with the ability
hydrocarbons were identified at the facility.
1 2.2.2 Groundwater Sampling Summar
4
to degrade
IGroundwater samples were collected on March 23 and 24, 1994
and analyzed for Total Volatile Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TVH -G)
and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and total Xylenes (BTEX).
TVH -G and BTEX concentrations were not detected in groundwater
samples collected from cross -gradient monitoring wells MW -6, MW -8,
' MW -11, and MW -12, from upgradient well MW -9, and from downgradient
well MW -3.
Measurable TVH -G groundwater sample concentrations ranged from
1,600 micrograms per liter (µg/L) to 69,000 µg/L. Measurable
' benzene concentrations ranged from 17 µg/L to 2,000 µg/L. The
highest TVH -G and benzene concentrations were measured in the
groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW -1, near the
source of the original petroleum release.
TVH -G and benzene isochemical contours are mapped on Figures
2 and 3, respectively.
}
07/94/1213821125997/REM REPA
July 1, 1994 9 26am
