�F <br /> t, <br /> I INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of The Earth rains Baking Company (Ear-thrains)� Philip Services <br /> Corporation (PSC) performed groundwater monitoring at the facility located at 2651 <br /> South Airport Way in Stockton, California This groundwater monitoring service was <br /> performed at the direction of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) to monitor groundwater impacted from a former leaking <br /> underground storage tank (UST) <br /> This report also describes remedial corrective action currently being performed to <br /> address the impact from the UST Furthermore, this report contains a <br /> recommendation to augment the current remediation system A description of the site, <br /> UST-related activities, PSC's findings and recommendations are contained herein <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The facility is a bakery products plant located at 2651 South Airport Way in <br /> Stockton, California(see Figure 1) The plant straddles Sections 22 and 23, <br /> Township 1 North, Range 6 East of the Mount Diablo Base and Meridian The <br /> site has a general elevation of approximately 17 feet relative to mean sea level <br /> (MSL) <br /> The developed portion of the facility consists of approximately seven acres, <br /> which is relatively flat lying, and is almost entirely covered with asphalt and <br /> concrete The main facility building covers about two acres An approximately <br /> 1,000-foot-long, shallow, stormwater drainage ditch extends westerly along <br /> the south side of the facility to a south-flowing drainage canal This ditch <br /> empties into the intermittent Duck Creek, which is located about 900 feet <br /> south of the plant <br /> 1.2 Former Underground Storage Tanks and Previous Work <br /> The facility had four petroleum hydrocarbon USTs, as shown in Figure 2 A <br /> former 10,000-gallon diesel-fuel tank and two 6,000-gallon gasoline tanks <br /> were located near the southwest corner of the main building A 20,000-gallon <br /> diesel-fuel tank was located on the east side of the facility <br /> The gasoline tanks near the southwest building corner were removed in April <br /> 1987 The two diesel-fuel USTs were removed in September 1989 The <br /> western-most gasoline tank had previously failed a tank integrity test, which <br /> was performed in December 1986 The eastern-most gasoline tank had <br /> 4 <br /> January 2002 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> I lie Earthgrams Baking Company <br /> 2651 South Airport Way <br /> Stockton California <br /> Prepared for TII1'H ARTHGRAINs BAKING COMP%Nv Prepared by Philip Services Corp <br /> H V.NVX624001121121J6?EG1StocLtonlStocxtonNo102man doc February 15,2002 <br />
