�F t, I INTRODUCTION On behalf of The Earth rains Baking Company (Ear-thrains)� Philip Services Corporation (PSC) performed groundwater monitoring at the facility located at 2651 South Airport Way in Stockton, California This groundwater monitoring service was performed at the direction of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) to monitor groundwater impacted from a former leaking underground storage tank (UST) This report also describes remedial corrective action currently being performed to address the impact from the UST Furthermore, this report contains a recommendation to augment the current remediation system A description of the site, UST-related activities, PSC's findings and recommendations are contained herein 1.1 Site Description The facility is a bakery products plant located at 2651 South Airport Way in Stockton, California(see Figure 1) The plant straddles Sections 22 and 23, Township 1 North, Range 6 East of the Mount Diablo Base and Meridian The site has a general elevation of approximately 17 feet relative to mean sea level (MSL) The developed portion of the facility consists of approximately seven acres, which is relatively flat lying, and is almost entirely covered with asphalt and concrete The main facility building covers about two acres An approximately 1,000-foot-long, shallow, stormwater drainage ditch extends westerly along the south side of the facility to a south-flowing drainage canal This ditch empties into the intermittent Duck Creek, which is located about 900 feet south of the plant 1.2 Former Underground Storage Tanks and Previous Work The facility had four petroleum hydrocarbon USTs, as shown in Figure 2 A former 10,000-gallon diesel-fuel tank and two 6,000-gallon gasoline tanks were located near the southwest corner of the main building A 20,000-gallon diesel-fuel tank was located on the east side of the facility The gasoline tanks near the southwest building corner were removed in April 1987 The two diesel-fuel USTs were removed in September 1989 The western-most gasoline tank had previously failed a tank integrity test, which was performed in December 1986 The eastern-most gasoline tank had 4 January 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report I lie Earthgrams Baking Company 2651 South Airport Way Stockton California Prepared for TII1'H ARTHGRAINs BAKING COMP%Nv Prepared by Philip Services Corp H V.NVX624001121121J6?EG1StocLtonlStocxtonNo102man doc February 15,2002
