16 <br /> 1 2 JANUARY 2002 GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Groundwater monitoring procedures and findings are contained in this section <br /> 2.1 Groundwater Monitoring Procedures <br /> A geologist from Kleinfelder (PSC's subcontractor),of Sacramento, <br /> California, performed groundwater monitoring on January 23 and 24, 2002 <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-4, <br /> 1 MW-9, MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, SP-1, SP-2, PZ-1 and PZ-2 as directed by <br /> the PHS/EHD <br /> Prior to sample collection, Kle>nfelder's geologist measured groundwater <br /> levels in these wells, and the potential presence of free phase gasoline product <br /> with an electronic oil/water interface probe Free phase gasoline product has <br /> never been observed in any well <br /> Klemfelder's geologist purged a minimum of three well volumes of <br /> groundwater from each well into 55-gallon drums using clean, dedicated <br /> balers Field parameters pH, temperature, and electrical conductivity were <br /> monitored for stability The 55-gallon drums were temporarily stored on-site, <br /> then removed and transported to PSC's licensed, California waste disposal <br /> facility <br /> Groundwater samples were collected with clean, disposable bailers, and <br /> transferred into clean laboratory-provided containers Sample containers were <br /> sealed, labeled, and stored in an )teed chest for subsequent delivery to the <br /> analytical laboratory <br /> Samples were delivered, with chain-of-custody control, to Acculabs Inc in <br /> Davis California Samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) using <br /> EPA Method 60218015(modified) These samples were also analyzed for <br /> oxygenate compounds TBA, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME using EPA <br /> Method 8260 <br /> s <br /> January 2002 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> The Earthgralns Baking Company <br /> 2651 South Airport Way <br /> Stockton California <br /> Prepared for Tim k,ARTHGRAINs BAKING COMPANY Prepared by Philip Services Corp <br /> H TNV462400132112IA2rG\SlmkionlStockton\0102mon doe February 15,2002 <br />
