This work was <br /> conducted according to the Corrective Action Work Plan (dated.November 3, 1992) which was approved <br /> by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD). This report presents a summary <br /> of corrective actions, a brief description of sampling methods aril analytical results. Groundwater <br /> Technology requests the SJCEHD concurrence that the goals of the Corrective Action Work Plan have <br /> been met and that no further corrective action is required for this site (SJCEHD Site Code 2042). <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> .j <br /> The BP Chemical facility owned and operated an underground storage,tank (UST) and fuel dispenser <br /> system which was removed before January 1991. The tank stor., fuel for an engine used to test <br /> various products manufactured at the BP facility. After the UST and test engine had been removed, BP <br /> Chemical retained Groundwater Technology to conduct a limited environmental assessment and <br /> subsurface investigation to evaluate the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons and lead in the soil and <br /> groundwater. <br /> i� <br /> Subsurface Investigation <br /> 3 <br /> In March 1992, Groundwater Technology conducted a subsurface investlgation (Work Plan dated <br /> October 1991) to evaluate the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil near the former <br /> underground storage tank.
