Corrective Action Closure Report June 11, 1993
BP Chemical f=acility (SJCEHD Site Code 2042) Page 5
C', tow concentrations of residual petroleum hydrocarbons in that soil, and because the groundwater is
greater than 40 feet below the ground surface, offsite disposal of that soil was not required by the
SJCEHD.
I
RECOMMENDATIONS 1
 1
Groundwater Technology has completed the proposed work as described in the Corrective Action Work
Plan. Soil from within the former UST excavation containing residual petroleum hydrocarbons has been
removed, and the excavation backfilled. No further excavation or
II backfilling is required. {
Analytical results indicate that soluble lead concentrations in the rm maining soil stockpile are very low
(0.5 ppm). Groundwater Technology recommends spreading out, that stockpile. However, moving that
stockpile is not required as part of the corrective action.
I
Groundwater Technology requests the SJCEHD concurrence that)the goals of the Corrective Action
Work Plan have been met and that no further corrective action is'required for this site (SJCEHD Site
Code 2042).
i
This concludes the Corrective Action Closure Report. Groundwater Technology appreciates the
opportunity to assist BP Chemical with this project.
