DEC, 19. 2006 5: 58PM 0PARSONS-925-979-9781 Na. 5103 P. 9 <br /> EXHIBIT 1 <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company (a"BP"company)is continuing to work with the California <br /> EPA, Regional Water Quality Control Board ("RWQCB") in the groundwater <br /> remediation program related to historical groundwater contamination at Applied <br /> Aerospace Structures Corporation, 3437 South Airport Way, Stockton, CA ("Facility"). <br /> As part of Atlantic Richfield's remedial activities, the RWQCB has asked Atlantic <br /> Richfield to drill soil borings and collect groundwater samples from various locations <br /> south and east of the existing monitoring well MW-15 to determine the lateral distances <br /> at which chemicals originating from the Facility may be present. One of these boring <br /> locations is in the property known as Assessor's Parcel No. 177-020-23("Property"). <br /> Atlantic Richfield or its consultant(Parsons)will drill at the location identified as P-109. <br /> The drill truck will occupy the boring location during one work day. Several probe holes <br /> will be drilled within a one-foot area using a 2-inch diameter sampling rod. The depth of <br /> sampling will extend to a maximum depth of approximately 110 feet. Each hole will be <br /> sealed with grout and covered with top soil upon completion of the work <br /> The proposed location of the boring, which has been approved by the RWQCB, is shown <br /> on the accompanying map. <br /> As part of its work, Atlantic Richfield will manage and properly dispose of all waste <br /> generated during Atlantic Richfield's drilling and sampling activity. <br /> �1 <br />
