R5-2010-0818,
APPLIED AEROSPACE STRUCTURES CORPORATION, 3437 SOUTH AIRPORT WAY,
STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
BP America is monitoring groundwater at thepp lied Aerospace Structures facility under
Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) No. R5-2003-0703 due to a release of Volatile
Organic Compounds (VOCs). In your letter of 25 November 2009 you requested changes to
the MRP. Staff of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Water
Board) revised the MRP to eliminate the quarterly monitoring schedule that was required for
several of the monitoring wells.
In your letter, you requested semi-annual monitoring for all active wells except MW-7, MW-13
and MW-14, which would be sampled annually. After review of the groundwater data history
and trends, Regional Board staff place several additional wells on the annual monitoring
schedule. The revised MRP requires semi-annual monitoring for MW-6, MW-15, MW-16 and
MW-17. All other wells will be monitored on an annual basis.
Revised MRP No. R5-2010-0818 is now in effect. The next required sampling event should
take place in the third quarter of 2010, and an annual report is due 1 November 2010. A copy
of the new MRP is included for your records.
