Spanos Jet } <br /> Center with this letter report documenting soil and groundwater-arab sampling activities <br /> and results from the above-referenced underground storage tank (UST) site. <br /> i A total of three USTs currently exist at the site (Figure 1). One 12.000-Gallon aviation <br /> L_>asoline UST and one 12.000-gallor jet fuel LAST are scheduled for removal- One <br /> existing 20.000-gallon jet fuel UST will remain in service. New replacement USTs will <br /> be installed in the same excavation as the removed USTs':or in an alternate location. <br /> depending on the presence and extent of any impacted soil in the or]Lginal UST <br /> excavation. <br /> i <br /> Scope of Work <br /> The primary objective of this,soil and groundwater-Drab 3sampiing effort was to determine <br /> if subsurface soil and groundwater in the vicinity of the existins USTs and at an alternate <br /> UST location have been impacted by aviation gasoline and/or jet fuel hydrocarbons. In <br /> addition. the data collected during this investigation will be used by a civil engineer to <br /> design shoring for the excavation and determine other subsurface soil engineering ` <br /> parameters. A reLgistered civil engineer will prepare and.submit the engineering results in <br /> a separate report. <br /> On October 23. 1998.
