CHEAI LE
County Counsel
FR: FRANK V. BRUNO, JR.
Deputy Canty Ccunse ,
RESPANOS LEASE AT AIRPORT
INTRODUCTION
Spares originally had two separate leases at the Airport.
referable to fuel tanks and the ether referable to their Jet
.Center. The fuel tank lease terminated can, May 14, 1987. That ;
particular lease contained language referable
to the use, removal
and replacement of fuel tanks by Spanos . It required Spanos to
select one of several options - including placement and use of
their own tanks. This particular -matter was covered with Spanos
a letter written over the _signature of Dan DeAngelis dated
July 16, 1986.
Spanos is presently attempting to renegotiate a single lease
covering the fuel tanks, fuel flowage charges, as well as tither
Items.
PROPOSED LEASE PROVISIONS
1.
Spanos has requested that they be, given an opbib on-
approximately 7.4 acres adjacent to their Jet Center. They are
not willing to pay any consideration therefor. : It should be
noted that the acreage at the Airports leased on the basis of
approximately $2,750 per year. This option would effectively
remove acreage from County use which has a rental value of -
0, 358 per year with, however, no consideration being paid to
the County for said option.
