Consistent With previous quarterly groundwater analytical results, the, highest concentrations of
petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the groundwater sample collected from W-1, which
contained 333 g l of T l- s-diesel, 11,400 erg/l of TPP—as-gasoline, 3,1 gll of benzene, 80,6
pgll of ethylben ene, and 177 t gfl of 1,2-DCA, The groundwater sample analytical results are
summarized in Table 4, the distribution of T H-ss-gasoline in first groundwater is shown in Figure
4, and the laboratory reports are included in Appendix
Between October 29, 2003 and January 29, 2909,the concentrations petroleum hydrocarbons
in groundwater remained relatively consistent. The concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons in
MW-1 have generally increased since the well was installed and first sampled in November 2002,
This suggests that impacted soil beneath the former RISTs may be continuing to leach into
groundwater. Concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater attenuate away from the
former UST source area: As shown on Figure 4, the lateral extent of impacted groundwater
appears to be mostly defined by the existing monitoring well network, Vertically the
concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons decline significantly below the groundwater table.
8
