3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS <br /> Between August 23, and December 30, 2004, the groundwater potentiometnc surface rose an <br />�l average of 0 88 feet, the groundwater gradient increased from 0 0021 to 0 0024 foot/foot, and the <br /> groundwater flow direction remained toward the north These groundwater flow and gradient <br /> characteristics are consistent with historical and seasonal trends <br /> Between August 23, and December 30, 2004, the concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in <br /> groundwater generally increased in MW-1 and MW-2, and decreased in MW-3 The lateral extent <br /> of impacted groundwater remains undefined <br />�I On December 31, 2003, Ramage Environmental submitted to END, Work Plan, Additional Site <br /> Investigation On January 28, 2004, EHD requested that the work plan be expanded to further <br /> define the lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil and groundwater beneath the site On <br /> February 27, 2004, Ramage Environmental submitted Revised Work Plan, which included one <br /> Cone Penetration Test (CPT) boring and five additional groundwater monitoring wells The <br /> proposed CPT and monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2 On March 9, 2004, EHD <br /> approved the revised work plan <br /> On July 30, 2004, EHD issued a permit to complete the approved scope of work Currently, <br /> implementation of the approved scope of work is pending funding authorization from the <br /> responsible parties <br /> r <br /> t <br /> '] 6 <br />
