Airport Way
Stockton, CA
This is to inform you that on February 4, 1994 State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) staff
with the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Cleanup Fund Program (Cleanup Fund) will review the UST
file for the above referenced site to determine if the responsible party is in compliance with corrective
action orders and directives. According to San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division (PHSIEHD) files no corrective action has taken place to date.
On December 23, 1991 PHSIEHD notified you in a letter that further investigation of the site was
needed and to contact the PHSIEHD if you decided to mitigate the contamination. PHSIEHD is now
directing you to submit a work plan for further investigation of the site including installation of a
minimum of three monitoring wells by March 15, 1994. The report must be signed by a California
Registered Geologist, Certified Engineering Geologist or Registered Engineer. A list of consultants that
have worked in this county is enclosed.
Compliance with corrective action orders and directives is a requirement for reimbursement of cleanup
costs from the Cleanup Fund.
If a work plan is not received by the above date and the work is not completed by April 15, 1994
PHSIEHD will notify SWRCB staff that the site is not in compliance with our corrective action directives
and its eligibility for cleanup funds will be jeopardized.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3449.
Ernest M.
