On April 8, 1987,
the soil sample taken at twenty-seven feet below ground indicates that total extractable hydrocarbons exist
at the previous ground water level or within five feet of it. According to the LUFT manual (guidance
document from SWRCB) further site investigation is needed. Contamination was also documented beneath
former tanks three and four. Total extractable hydrocarbons were detected even though the soil should have
been tested for total volatile hydrocarbons beneath these tanks. Further investigation of these areas are also
needed.
This is to notify you that an "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (l.M/ Contaminated Site
Report" has been filed pursuant to Sec 25180.7 of the Health and Safety Code and that the site has been
placed on our local contaminated site list.
Should you wish to mitigate the contamination documented at your site contact PHS/EHD.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-3449.
Jogi Kha , .D., M.P.H.
Health r
urie A.
