uwceRs ors�Rscarsur.urts <br /> MONITOR WELL DESTRUCTION WORK PLAN <br /> The monitor wells located at 7759 S Airport Way will be destroyed following the guidelines <br /> established in the California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-90, California Well <br />' Standards Well destruction will be conducted under the direction of a California Registered <br /> Geologist All field related activities will be documented in a log book The EHD will be <br /> notified prior to commencement of any on-site work and a well destruction permit will be <br /> obtained The following procedures will be used to destroy the wells <br /> • The well will be sounded immediately before it is destroyed to make sure no <br /> obstructions exist that will interfere with sealing If obstructions are present they <br /> will be removed prior to sealing <br /> • The volume of the well casing and voids of the filter pack will be calculated <br /> • Neat cement will be placed in the well from the bottom up using a tremae pipe <br /> When the neat cement approaches ground surface the tremae pipe will be removed <br /> and the remainder of the neat cement will be placed in the well under pressure <br /> • The volume of neat cement added to the well will be recorded and compared to <br /> the calculated volume <br /> A letter report describing well destruction will be prepared for submittal to the EHD Calculated <br /> and actual volumes of neat cement used will be reported <br /> ' <br /> 3 May 1996 <br /> LIPROIECPS+SAN]OQ'MCMVCD <br />
