All personnel and authorized <br /> visitors must contact the She Safety Officer/Project Manager prior to entering and exiting the exclusion <br /> zone. <br /> RECORD KEEPING <br /> All site safety records pem.daing to this site investigation,including records of daily tailboard safety <br /> meetings,will be maintairwd by the Site Safety Officer/Project Manager throughout the praj cot. <br /> AIR MONITORING <br /> NG <br /> The Site Safety Officer/Prc ject Manager(or another qualified person designated by the Site Safety Officer) <br /> will conduct periodic air monitoring, using direct-reading,real-time sampling equipment. This will include <br /> using a direct-reading phot ionization detection meter(Photovac Microtip 1000 or equivalent)to monitor <br /> the concentrations of orgar is vapors in the work area. Organic vapors will be monitored periodically during <br /> the collection of soil samples. The meter will be calibrated at the start of each work period with isobutylene <br /> gas. Total organic vapor rr casurements wil l be used to determine the appropriate Ievels of respiratory <br /> protection,and identify conditions that would require site evacuation. Total organic concentrations in the <br /> worker's breathing zone in excess of 20 PPM will require Level C personal protective equipment. Total <br /> organic concentrations in eic worker's breathing zone in excess of 100 PPM will require evacuation of the <br /> work area until the organic concentrations subside to below 100 PPM. <br /> 402-331-9963 �_S <br />
