Airport Way FA0014759
Manteca, CA. 95336
The above referenced site was placed in the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) Local Agency Groundwater Protection/Underground
Injection Control Program (UIC) after confirmation that disposal of a chemical
waste to a septic system had occurred. Investigation for the chemical waste
disposed to the septic system has been performed since that discovery.
EHD has reviewed Limited Site Assessment Report (Septic Tank Area) dated
July 1, 2003 submitted by your consultant, Advanced GeoEnvironmental (AGE)
on July 31, 2003 and has the following comments.
The report documented soil and groundwater sampling under and near the
domestic septic tank, distribution box, and leach lines at the above referenced
property.
The laboratory data indicates that no chemicals associated with the drug lab
waste have significantly impacted the soil or groundwater. An inspection of the
septic tank indicated that no cracks or other conditions that would allow leakage
were present. The tank appeared watertight and with the repair of the leach lines
and distribution box, EHD considers the system capable of returning to service.
Based on information in the above-referenced file and with the provision that the .
information provided to this agency was accurate and representative of site
conditions, no further action related to the chemical disposal to that septic system
is required.
Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any liability for pollution
not discovered during this investigation. Nor does it relieve you of the
responsibility to clean up existing, additional or previously unidentified conditions
at the site from past, present or future operations which cause or threaten to
cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose a threat to water quality or public
health.
