(209) 952-0525 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM <br />Complaint #: C00047616 <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />SEPTEMBER 26, CUSTOMER PURCHASED 4-5 RAW OYSTERS THAT WERE ON ICE. CONSUMED OYSTERS AND <br />BECAME SICK. WAS DIAGNOSED WITH VIBRIO ON 10/4/18. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Utensil washing ok. <br />The oysters are received times per week. They are stored in the walk in cooler 39 F. They are placed in the cold case as <br />needed. The oysters in the case at 37 F. <br />Oysters received on 9/17/18 were harvested in Nahcota Willapa WA. and are distributed by pacific fresh food in sacrament. <br />Oysters received on 9/21/18, 9/24/18 and 9/26/18 were harvested in Tillmook Bay OR. and distributed by pacific fresh food. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
