Airport Way ENVIPONMENTAL HEh,_ rH <br /> Manteca, California 95336 (-UN11T/CFNvlc';s <br /> RE: Notice to suspected polluters of waters under the control of <br /> South San Joaquin Irrigation District ( SSJID) <br /> F <br /> On April 29, 1991 at approximately 12: 40 P .m. <br /> representatives of the SSJID were witness to cheese mfg. waste <br /> water pollution or contamination on or within facilities <br /> conducting waters under the control of the District . Upon a <br /> thorough examination of the situation it was determined that the <br /> most probable source of the pollution or contamination was from <br /> facilities/property situated at 14318 S. Airport Way, Manteca. <br /> The purpose of this letter is to serve notice to persons <br /> suspected of discharging any refuse or other polluting or <br /> contaminating or nuisance causing substance into water of the <br /> District and to notify them that such actions are prohibited . <br /> That as a consequence of such actions not only do the waters of <br /> the District become polluted or contaminated and as such become <br /> so foul and dangerous that use by the District or others is or <br /> may be detrimental to the best interest of the public , but that <br /> to do so is also an unlawful and unauthorized act on behalf of <br /> the responsible individual . <br /> To insure that such actions do not continue and ultimately <br /> result in civil or criminal complaints , the District requests <br /> that you immediately cease discharging into waters under the <br /> control of the District.
