Maintain the facility to minimize the release of a hazardous waste: <br />A small waste liquid spill was observed in Building 2 coming from a Doringer metal <br />cutting saw. Begin handling all spills appropriately. Correct immediately. <br />#15. Spill control equipment, and/or decontamination equipment not provided. <br />In the small hazardous waste storage area an eyewash station or phone were not provided. <br />Mr. Kitagawa stated that this area would be combined with the large hazardous waste <br />storage area. Either provide the required items or relocate the hazardous waste. Correct <br />immediately. <br />#16. Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or <br />decontamination equipment. An eyewash station in the Large Alodine Area had the <br />water shut off (corrected onsite). An eyewash station in the White Room adjacent to the <br />paint booth was not filled with water. Correct immediately. <br />#19. The following hazardous wastes were onsite longer than 90 days without a permit or <br />authorization: <br />(a) Area north of the Maintenance shop — A 55 gallon dream labeled as waste oil with <br />an accumulation start date of 4/25/01. <br />(b) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 2A — A 55 gallon drum <br />labeled D waste, no accumulation start date. <br />(c) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 2A — A 25 gallon drum <br />labeled resin waste, no accumulation start date. <br />(d) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 3A — (2) Blue poly drums, <br />one labeled as acetone titration, no accumulation start date. Other container not <br />labeled, no accumulation start date. <br />(e) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 3B A container labeled as <br />hydrofluoric acid, accumulation start date 2/$/02. <br />(f) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 3B — Four 5 -gallon buckets, <br />labels were illegible. <br />(g) Large Hazardous Waste Storage Area — Rack space 3B — Four 55 gallon drum <br />containers, 2 metal and 2 blue poly, labels illegible. <br />(h) Small Hazardous Waste Storage Area — (2) 55 gallon drums with out any labels <br />in the northwest corner. <br />(i) Small Hazardous Waste Storage Area — (3) 55 gallon drums that were labeled <br />"vent scrub", no accumulation start date. <br />Inspector Received B <br />
