rs
Mr. Lon Kitagawc
Page 2
5. Title 22, Cal. Code of Regs., Section 67241:
BP violated Title 22, Cal. Code of Regs., Section
67241 in that BP failed to manage hazardous wastes
in containers in good condition.
When the DHS inspector inspected BP, she observed
that many of the hazardous wastes in the storage
area were stored in drums and containers which were
visibly rusted and in poor condition.
6. Title 22, Cal. Code of Regs., Section 67247(c):
BP violated Title 22, Cal. Code of Regs., Section
67247 (c) in that BP failed to separate incompatible
wastes from each other by means of a dike, berm or
wall.
During the DHS inspection of BP, the inspector
observed caustics and acids (sulfuric, phosphoric
and nitric) in the same common storage area. She
observed that the storage yard lacked any dike, berm
or wall designed to prevent mixture of these wastes.
The Department will conduct a re -inspection of Parsons of
California, Stockton in the future to verify compliance.
The issuance of this Report of Violations does not preclude
the Department from taking administrative, civil, or criminal
action as a result of the violations noted herein.
If you have any questions regarding this Report, please
contact Ms. Jennifer A. Smith at (916) 855-7787.
Sincerely,
A--do-
Xb
Susan J.
