This letter serves as a statement addressing the corrective <br /> actions taken in response to this inspection. <br /> The following outlines each violation noted and the corrective action taken by Onsite <br /> Electronics Recycling(OER). <br /> #1.5: Spill control equipment,and/or decontamination equipment not provided. It was <br /> specifically noted that an eye wash was not provided. <br /> Corrective Action: OER does have a first aid kit with a bottle-style eyewash available in <br /> our direct working area which was not on site the date of the inspection(see attached <br /> photo). In addition, the County has an eyewash station inside the transfer facility, <br /> approximately 100 feet from our work area. All staff have been trained on the location of <br /> both eyewashes and the first aid station. <br /> #18: Failed to maintain adequate aisle space. It was noted that a pallet was temporarily <br /> placed in manner which obstructed the aisle space. <br /> Corrective Action: OER immediately removed the pallet from the aisle space(see <br /> attached photo). We have trained our employee on the requirements for appropriate aisle <br /> space at all times. <br /> #20& 88: Failed to properly label containers of hazardous waste and Stored hazardous <br /> waste onsite gTeater than 180 days, Specifically, a drum of PCB capacitors had in <br /> accumulation start date of 4/1/06 and was not appropriately labeled. <br /> Corrective Action: OER did not store ha7ardous waste onsite greater than 180 days, <br /> rather the accumulation start date had not been updated since the last time the capacitor <br />
