Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of <br /> all manifests signed off by the destination facility on site for three years and have them readily available for review. <br /> If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the <br /> facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial <br /> transporter,the generator shall submit a legible copy of the missing manifest,with some indication that the <br /> generator has not received confirmation of delivery. This information shall be submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit the required information to DTSC. <br /> Submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy of the information submitted to DTSC. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> -Two paper filters and an oily rag were observed on top of a drum of oily solids in the northeast corner of the shop. <br /> -Brake shavings were observed collected on the surfaces of the brake grinding machine and surrounding the brake <br /> grinding machine on the ground. The ground surrounding the brake grinding machine was also rusty. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion,or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up the <br /> paper filters, oily rag and brake shavings and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One black metal 55 gallon drum of used metal filters was observed without a lid in the northeast corner of the shop. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
