-- DRAFT 1219 .4203
WORK PLAN FOR SITE ASSESSMENT
ALL PURE CHEMICAL CO. - TRACY, CALIFORNIA
Purpose and Scope
The All Pure Chemical Company in Tracy, California, is one
of several facilities currently under consideration for
purchase by Pioneer Chlor Alkali Corporation. Pilko &
Associates of Woodland Hills, California, has been
contracted by Pioneer Chlor Alkali to perform a site
assessment at the Tracy Facility in an effort to determine
if there are potential environmental liabilities associated
with this acquisition. Accordingly, Pilko & Associates will
place four soils borings at selected locations at the site.
soil samples will be collected and analyzed at a state
certified laboratory. The depth of the borings will be
extended to approximately 10 feet below first-encountered
groundwater, reportedly from 12 to 15 feet below ground
surface, and will be converted to four-inch diameter
monitoring wells. Groundwater samples will be collected and
analyzed at a state certified laboratory.
Upper interval soil samples will be analyzed for volatile
organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8240, semi-volatile
-1-
