WM1i[vtvr <br />• <br />For use by Fleetwash, Manteca (Loc 33) <br />Emergency Response & Hazardous Waste Contingency <br />3.0 Emergency Procedures <br />Page 5 of 9 <br />MAY 2 7 2014 <br />During an emergency, the emergency coordinator shall perform the necessary actions <br />timely and appropriate response. The coordinator shall choose the order and applicab <br />following actions, based upon the situation and the hazardous waste or hazardous wa <br />involved: <br />1. Identify and assess the situation (source, health, and environmental impact) <br />2. Activate alarm to notify all company personnel <br />3. Evacuate the company, if necessary <br />4. Notify appropriate state or local agencies with designated response roles if their assistance is <br />needed <br />5. Determine action to be taken based on situation: <br />a. In case of Fire: employ fire extinguisher for small fires that do not present eminent <br />danger of spreading or causing an explosion. Otherwise call local fire department <br />immediately <br />b. In case of hazardous waste spill: Indentify character, exact source, amount, real extent <br />of the released materials, assess possible hazards to human health or the environment <br />using MSDS, take all reasonable measures to ensure additional releases do not occur. <br />If spill is easily managed by onsite spill response personnel, use containment and/or <br />absorption and process waste pursuant Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br />Otherwise, contact Safety-Kleen or similar hazardous spill contractor. <br />6. Oversee the cleanup throughout its entirety. <br />7. Within 15 days after the incident, emergency coordinator shall submit a written report on the <br />incident to San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department - see section 7.0 <br />Arrangements with Local Authorities. The report will include the following: <br />o FLEETWASH/Manteca contact name, address and telephone; <br />o Date and time of incident; <br />o Name and quantity of material(s) involved; <br />o Assessment of actual or potential hazards to human health or the environment, where <br />this is applicable; <br />o Estimated quantity and disposition or recovered material resulting from the incident. <br />THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS CONFIDENTIAL AND PROPRIETARY INFORMATION OF FLEETWASH, INC.
