A 55 gallon drum half full of used aerosol cans located outside by the used oil drums filters lacked <br /> hazardous waste labeling. Aerosol cans are managed and hauled off,on manifest records. All hazardou <br /> waste containers shall be marked with the following information: � WeA fV 1.I q rr�'7,,, r�.msM SL✓7J�- <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste", 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (toxic, corrosive, reactive or ignitable), 4. physical state (solid or liquid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) & 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br /> the required information. <br /> -Corrected on site. Complete label placed on drum. <br /> 610. Three drums of used oil filters are all lacking a start accumulation date. Used oil filters must be <br /> stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date. Immediately locate the last disposal receipt of pickup and mark the <br /> approximate start date. Each drum storing drained used oil filters shall be marked as "Drained used oil <br /> filters" along with a start date. Ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> 808 & 809. A pallet of electronic waste was shrink wrapped and was covered in blue tarp were observed <br /> unlabeled outdoors adjacent to the used oil filter drums. They were observed without the words <br /> 'universal waste.' It is unclear how long they have been stored on site. A generator shall label or mark <br /> universal waste with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing <br /> equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol cans). Universal waste shall not <br /> accumulate for no longer than one year from the date the waste was generated. Begin this practice <br /> immediately. Correct by disposing of electronic waste as universal waste and submit a copy of the <br /> disposal record to the EHD. <br /> Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (6/30/14): <br /> 1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" form <br /> 2. a written corrective action statement for each of the above <br /> Notes: - In 2013 year, facility generated approx 3490 gallons (13.96 tons) of used oil , 90 gallons (0.36 <br /> tons) of used antifreeze, and 3.4 tons of manifested waste = 17.72 tons of hazardous waste. Permit fees <br /> will be adjusted accordingly. <br /> - CERS #10187255 submittals in progress. Submitted Facility Information.
