Inspections <br />of the discharge systems, monitoring equipment and tank levels were performed on a weekly basis. Immediately <br />begin to conduct daily inspections of the discharge systems, monitoring equipment, and tank levels for all tanks <br />containing hazardous waste. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />505 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br />stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. The used antifreeze tank located outside the <br />west side of the shop was missing an accumulation start date. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br />hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br />under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD within 30 days. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />-A black 55 gallon metal drum of used paper filters was observed on the outside of the west side of the shop without <br />hazardous properties or physical state on the label. <br />-A black 55 gallon metal drum of used absorbent was observed on the outside of the west side of the shop without a <br />hazardous waste label. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />608 <br />CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br />-A black 55 gallon metal drum of used metal filters was observed with a lid but no ring securely shutting the drum on <br />the spill pallet outside of the west side of the shop. <br />Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used <br />oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date.
