w
Thuy
We have updated our Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Control Plan (SPCC Plan) with the proper
tank capacity, it is ready for review and maintained on site. We have updated the CERS facility
info/business activities to yes that we have an above ground petroleum storage of over 1320 gallons.
Below is a detailed description of how we brought each violation you found into compliance;
➢ Line 134, CCR 66265.192(h)(1) Failed to maintain a current HW tank assessment.
o Waiting to hear back from you if an approved secondary containment will remove us
from this requirement.
➢ Line 305, CCR 66265.33 failed to maintain all communication or alarm system, spill control or
decontamination equipment
o Spill pallet outside shop has been cleaned and absorbent pads placed in bottom to make
cleaning easier for minor drips.
o Weekly shop inspection has been updated to include
• Alarms at each end of shop to be inspected, there is one at the north east
corner of shop, and one at the north side of roll up door going into the steam
cleaner oil storage area.
• Fire protection equipment inspected (this has been on the inspection but was
not explained properly)
• Spill kit placed in oil storage area
• Containment area under used oil and filters, has been cleaned and absorbent
pads placed in it so minor spills can be seen and cleaned easier and quicker.
• All hazardous waste containers have been properly labeled with accumulation
start dates.
• Disposed of all containers of hazardous waste and started clean properly labeled
containers reduced the number of containers to only the amount that is needed
for current operations. Relocated full container storage area to the oil storage
area so they can been disposed of quicker.
➢ Line 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste
o This was corrected while you were on site as noted on report.
o This container was disposed of properly
➢ Line 610 CCR 66262.130(c)(3) Failed to store used oil filters in a closed rainproof container that
is labeled "drained used oil filters" and marked with the accumulation start date.
o Labeled these drums then had them disposed of properly.
o Labeled replacement drum with accumulation start date
o Relocated full drums of filters so they can be disposed of promptly
➢ Line 805 &809 not marked on inspection report
o Took the pallet of electronics waste to Onsite Electronics Recycling, Stockton Ca. and
disposed of properly
o If we accumulate any universal waste in the future it will be marked as such with and
accumulation start date and disposed of within one year.
➢ Updated CERS web site with map and emergency response plan
