The transfer pump will pump he wastewater to the reaction and mix tank #1. In this tank , a coaglant will be added to bread
the emulsion. A mixer will keep the reaction tank agitated. In his tank, caustic soda will be added to adjust the final pH, contr lled
by a pH meter. The treated water will then flow to the flocculation tank. In the flocculation tank, polymer will be added to enlarge
the floc. The polymer addition will be agitated by a mixer. The treated water then gravity flows to the clarifier. In the clarifier
the 'floc' settles to the bottom of the clarifier. The treated water exits the clarifier via plug flow through an overflow baffle
weir arrangement to the sewer. The settled floc is pumped automatically to a sludge holding tank. The sludge is then pumped
automatically from the bottom of the sludge holding tank to the Beckart recessed plate, Basketed, filter press for dewatering of e
solid. The filtrate out of the filt
press will be piped to return back to the equalization tank for reprocessing.
H.
