The following are Minor-Notice to Comply <br /> violations observed during this inspection: 108,301, 610 <br /> 108. (Repeat) Failed to make a hazardous waste determination of an approximately 30-gallon drum of oil <br /> used for draining oil filters in the shop. Generator shall make a hazardous waste determination of waste <br /> generated, and dispose of the waste in accordance to that determination. Observed owner placed the oil <br /> in the used oil in the waste oil tank; violation has been corrected on site. Owner stated the oil in the drum <br /> is frequently drained after filters have been sifting for a few days or a week. <br /> 301. (Repeat) Witnessed absorbent on the floor of the workshop, and contaminated water from hand- <br /> washing under a container of water outside the shop. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water <br /> which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately , and manage according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this <br /> waste was managed by 11/08/2013. <br /> 610. (Repeat) Witnessed four 55-gallon drums of used oil filters not closed. Used oil filters must be <br /> stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date.
