Hazelton Ave. <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Dear Mr. Davisson: <br /> This letter is written with some frustration created in an effort to <br /> solve your requirements from a letter sent to our 1700 No. Broadway <br /> location on June 6, 1988. <br /> First, it is our intent to conduct business in a manner to conform with <br /> all EPA regulations. Those areas that do not conform will be addressed <br /> immediately. Ryder is very pro-active to all EPA requirements. <br /> Secondly, in an attempt to determine what is required, specifically, to <br /> clear the path to obtain a business license, is near impossible. On <br /> June 13, I spent most of the day being transferred from one department <br /> to another and then referred to outside sources. This was all in an effort <br /> to obtain the business license (License Application #BL-88-70) . <br /> Most of the constraints are coming from a drainage ditch in the rear of <br /> the property which was there when we leased the property. Admittedly, <br /> we did wash our vehicles outside and the wash water did drain into this <br /> ditch. It is a natural drainage area probably designed originally for <br /> that purpose. The lot to the north also drains into this ditch. Since <br /> notification of a possible EPA infraction, we have ceased our washing <br /> activity. <br /> For your information we service The Martin Brower Company, a major employer <br /> in your city. Also, we have shortened our lease term to one year with the <br /> intent to build a new facility in your city. <br /> What I would appreciate is a clear understanding of just what is required <br /> to obtain this license. I am meeting with Casey Foley on June 24 to <br /> view the site again. Any consideration in making this process less complicated <br /> would be greatly appreciated.
